High School : Refuge
We desire our young men and women to see God, not this world, as their refuge in times of trouble. Therefore we are dedicated to helping them grow in their love for God and his Word. We meet every Sunday at 9:30am at El Cerrito Middle School for fellowship and Bible study. Come share your faith and grow with us as we seek refuge in our Lord and Savior.

 

Jr. High School : Generation C
The junior high years can be challenging for both parents and their students. It's a time when kids start the search for independence and identity. It's a time of discovery and experimentation. Therefore, we seek to partner with parents during these formative years to help lay a solid foundation. At Renaissance we strive to help junior highers discover they are chosen by God to glorify him in their generation.

We invite all junior highers to hang out Sundays in our youth room for Bible study , prayer and games. Also join us the 2nd and 4th Fridays of every month for youth group. We meet for Bible study, food and games. We would love for you to join us as we seek to glorify God and reach the world around is for Christ and his cause.

 

Children : Birth through 6th Grade
There was a crowd of people pressing toward Jesus, including children. The disciples tried to send them away, but Jesus stopped them, saying, "let them come to me!" God has a heart for children, reflected in Jesus' actions that day. At Renaissance we have a heart for children and in developing Christ-like character in their lives.

We'll do this through an outstanding program designed to make your children's church experience fun and spiritual too! We offer children's classes from birth through sixth grade. We break into age groups in order to tailor each class appropriately to the needs of the children. At Renaissance, our trained workers use the best teaching curriculum to build a spiritual foundation. In partnership with parents, we pray that foundation will anchor them for their entire lives! Look for the "Renaissance Kids!"' children's sign on the way in!

 

Small Groups
Renaissance Small Groups is a place to connect and a place you can shake off the tired empty promises of the world. Connect with the truth of Scripture in a way that comes alive and with people who authentically share life and fellowship with one another. A place where rebirth and renewal flow from our relationship with God. If you are ready for renaissance in your life, join us as we seek to fulfill the call of Christ together. We offer groups for men, women, couples and co-eds.

 

Care Ministry
When you need it, isn't it great when others are there for you! We all need a bridge of support in times of struggle or trouble. Our Care Ministry Team reaches out to touch the hearts of our church family by offering care, support and comfort to chose experiencing grief, illness or difficult circumstances. We strive to enable our entire congregation to grow as a warm, loving nurturing environment where people are cherished and cared for.

Our Care efforts include:
• Sending cards to express love, prayers and concern
• Preparing and delivering meals when needed
• Hospital visitation and care baskets
• Home baked cookie care packages to new visitors and to those enduring difficult circumstances
• Engage is intercessory prayer for the special requests of chose in need

The Care Ministry is celebrating the expansion of our role in sharing the love of Christ in practical ways with our community
at large through our “Community Kindness Outreach!"

 

Missions
At Renaissance we have a heart for missions. It is thrilling to be a part of what God is doing in the world. It's healthy for the church to know that our ministry is not just about us, and our immediate community. It's also about what we can do to partner with brothers and sisters of every tribe to advance the work of Christ in the world.

Mexico
God has blessed us with a beautiful relationship with Jay and Joan of the Angels2 Help ministry in Mexico. Each year we gather resources and send down a team to minister. Jay and Joan have recently built a 10,000 foot ministry Center, and Renaissance was able to give a large cash gift, and help paint and prepare the facility for the Lord's use. Please be in prayer for these servants who have devoted themselves to sharing the gospel and ministering to the poor of Mexico.

Kenya
Renaissance is also partnering with Truth Ministries International (TMI) . They hold leadership conferences in many nations. In 2005, Pastor Gary went with a team to Kenya. God is doing incredible things in Kenya, and there is tremendous opportunity to train pastors for ministry, and for continued church planting. Please keep Wilson Njue in your prayers as he is planting a church in Mai Mahue.

Asia
Two of our families are engaged in missions work though Ethos Asia Ministries. This is a region where there are high levels of persecution for Christians. In the midst of this burning fire amongst the believers there who are fighting for the souls of the Asian peoples. Please be in prayer for God to bring the light of the gospel to this darkened region.

 

Mens Ministry
Journeymen, at Renaissnace Church is an open gathering of men sharing the journey of lige together. We seek to understand the design and calling Christ has for men that we might live with a passion and love for life. The Journeymen experience provides unique interactive training exercised and discussions that empower men to take up the abundant life they have in Christ. This is not just a study, it's a spiritual adventure!

 

Womens Ministry
The Womens Ministry at Renaissance Church serves to encourage women in their relationship with Christ and provides opportunities to develop strong friendships with one another. Our desire is to be an authentic group of women who are growing in Godliness, integrity and sincerity of heart. We invite you to grow with us!
